Gabriela Salomon was born in 1992 in Guadalajara, Mexico. She currently lives and works between Paris and Mexico City. Gabriela’s practice navigates the intimate and often overlooked spaces between individuals, where bodies subtly respond to one another, shaping and reshaping the contours of human connection. Her work is a deep reflection on the shared physicality of our interactions, where breath, gaze, and bodily presence serve as conduits for complex relational dynamics. Salomon does not seek grand revelations; rather, she illuminates the quiet, almost imperceptible ways we attune ourselves to those around us.
Salomon’s practice is grounded in the understanding that human connection is fluid, fragile, and constantly shifting. Her work embraces the beauty of this instability, where alignment is momentary, and dissonance is a natural part of the relational dance. By creating spaces for these exchanges to be both experienced and observed, Salomon allows us to reflect on the delicate, often fleeting, moments of synchronization between ourselves and others, offering a contemplative view of the quiet forces that bind us together.
Salomon graduated with a degree in Art History from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico in 2017 and went on to earn a master’s degree in Cultural Management from IESA, Paris. Her work has been exhibited in venues such as Duplex in Lisbon, Highbrow Institute in Vienna and CICA Museum in Seoul, South Korea among others.
